  Tenho um piercing na língua há mais de 20 anos. Recentemente adquiri jóias novas aqui na Purple Hand Tattoo & Piercing. Fui muito bem aconselhada pela Vânia que inclusive me mostrou como há tantos anos usava jóias desadequadas para o meu furo (barra demasiado grande, material desadequado...). Escolhi duas jóias. Uma com pedra à abalone e outra com uma opala roxa e azul. Nesta última a Vânia fez uma anodização no metal para que ficasse com uma cor semelhante. Aconselho vivamente pelo menos o serviço de piercing. Noutra altura espero experimentar as tatuagens.

Tattoos

Does getting a tattoo hurt?

Pain varies depending on placement and individual tolerance, but most describe it as manageable discomfort.

How much does a tattoo cost?

Prices start at 50€ for small flash tattoos and 60€ for small custom designs. Prices vary based on size, detail, color and placement. Visit our Pricing Section for more details. Free consultations are available to discuss pricing.

Do you offer custom tattoo designs?

Yes! Our artists specialize in custom designs tailored to your vision. Bring your ideas, and we’ll create something unique for you.

Do you offer flash tattoo designs?

Yes! We have a wide selection of pre-designed flash tattoos, available in various styles and sizes. Our flash designs are updated regularly, and you can choose from them during walk-ins or book an appointment to get one done.

Do you do cover-ups or tattoo modifications?

Absolutely! We can rework, cover, or modify old tattoos, depending on their size and other factors. Book a consultation to see what’s possible.

How should I take care of my new tattoo?

We provide detailed aftercare instructions, but in general:

Keep it clean and moisturized.
Avoid direct sun exposure and shared waters.
Do not pick at the healing skin.

Can I get a tattoo if I’m pregnant or breastfeeding?

No, we do not tattoo pregnant or breastfeeding clients for safety reasons.

Do you offer touch-ups?

Do you offer touch-ups?
Yes! We offer free touch-ups within 3 months after the tattoo is fully healed when necessary.

Piercings

Do piercings hurt?

The pain is minimal and lasts just a few seconds. The discomfort level depends on the placement.

What type of jewelry do you use?

We only use implant-grade metals—titanium and gold—ensuring biocompatibility and safety for fresh piercings, respecting your body in the process.

Can I bring my own jewelry for a piercing?

No, for hygiene and safety reasons, we only use jewelry from our own sterilized collection.

How should I take care of my new piercing?

We provide detailed aftercare instructions, but in general:

Keep it clean.
Keep it dry.
Avoid touching it.
Avoid direct sun exposure, heat sources, and shared water.

How long does it take for a piercing to heal?

Healing times may vary for each individual. The following are general timeframes:

Earlobe: 3-4 months
Ear cartilage: 6-12 months
Nostril: 4-6 months
Septum: 3-4 months
Lip: 3-4 months
Tongue: 2-3 months
Eyebrow: 3-4 months
Nipple: 6-12 months
Navel: 6-12 months

How many piercings can I get at one time?

We recommend a maximum of three piercings per session, depending on the type and location.

This also applies when adding new piercings while others are still healing. The more piercings you have healing at once, the harder it generally is for them to heal properly. For this reason, it’s also not advisable to get pierced while sick or recovering from major surgery, etc.

When can I change my jewelry?

The general rule is that changing jewelry too soon can cause irritation and other complications. We recommend waiting until the piercing is fully healed before making any changes.

If you’re unsure, you can consult our body piercer to assess the healing stage of your piercing. Some jewelry styles can be worn before the piercing is fully healed, but if you’re changing it on your own, it’s best to wait until it’s completely healed—especially if the metal used is not biocompatible.

When can I switch the jewelry in my piercing to a ring?

This will vary for each individual, but the general timeframes are as follows:

Earlobe: 4+ months
Ear cartilage 9+ months
Nostril: 6+ months
Lip: 4+ months
Nipples: 1 year+

Please keep in mind that these are the bare minimum timeframes. If your piercing is still healing or irritated, it’s best to wait a bit longer, as switching from a straight bar to a ring will almost always make things worse.

If your piercing becomes irritated after switching to a ring and the irritation persists, it’s best to switch back to a straight bar.

Can I get a piercing if I’m pregnant or breastfeeding?

We do not perform piercings on pregnant clients. Even healed piercings can become sensitive during pregnancy due to hormonal changes and the body prioritizing resources for the pregnancy.

We also do not recommend getting a piercing while breastfeeding.

Do you offer piercing troubleshooting?

Yes! If you’re experiencing any complications with your piercing, such as irritation or bumps, contact us via WhatsApp or Instagram for advice, or book an appointment for an in-person check-up

If you suspect an infection, please consult a medical professional.

Booking & Studio Policies

Do I need to book an appointment, or do you accept walk-ins?

We welcome both! Walk-ins are accepted based on availability, but appointments are recommended to secure your spot.

How can I book an appointment?

You can book through our website, Instagram, WhatsApp, or by visiting our studio.

Do you require a deposit for bookings?

Yes, we require a 20€-50€ deposit for tattoo appointments, depending on the size and complexity of the design. This deposit will be deducted from the final price. Deposits are non-refundable but can be transferred if you reschedule with at least 48 hours’ notice.

What payment methods do you accept?

At the moment, we accept cash payments only.

What if I need to cancel or reschedule?

Please notify us at least 48 hours in advance. Deposits are non-refundable but can be transferred to a new date if rescheduled within the notice period.

Do you offer gift vouchers?

Yes! We have tattoo and piercing gift vouchers available. Contact us or visit the studio to purchase.

Health & Safety

Do you follow strict hygiene protocols?

Absolutely! We use only sterile, single-use needles and high-quality, autoclave-sterilized equipment.

Are there any health conditions that prevent me from getting a tattoo or piercing?

If you have diabetes, blood disorders, take blood thinners, or any other medical condition, we strongly recommend consulting your doctor before getting a tattoo or piercing. Additionally, please inform our studio of any allergies or skin sensitivities beforehand so we can ensure the safest experience for you.

Do I need to bring an ID?

Yes, for tattoos and piercings, a valid photo ID is required. We do not tattoo or pierce minors without parental consent (age restrictions apply).
